Design is of the utmost in high end as well as casual wear. Or so I hear from professionals. Function (I'm aware this is a 'guy thing') is fairly important too.
So why a fake pocket? To keep that top from being just another grey top, repeated from the last season? Manufacturing costs are lower? If I see one more of those sort of things (especially on an item I liked) I'm going to fucking punch someone!
There's no fakery with jeans. The basic design has been around well over a hundred years. Different styles mind you. But still most all have that wee pocket. Which I've been using for keys for the past decade or so.
So when one goes to say Old Navy purchases grey faded, "loose" jeans and is happy with them ...well, one goes back for more, right? I did, and got the 'black' loose style jeans - and again was happy.
To switch things up, I got a pair of blue, faded jeans. Yeah, I know-I know, "not black, Chad?" shut up.
I noted a wee design fault. Or was it?
The loose fit was more ample than the others and that was okay. But it was the belt loops that were and have become, in my opinion, a headache. Enough to warrant not bothering to purchase jeans at Old Navy for a very long time, if ever again. Certainly now that I found this same 'fault' or 'F U' in the cool black jeans.

Now possibly this is not a fault, but one half of the pairing with the other half of the equation, their belts. If that is the case ...a: Why the hell wouldn't you have more belt styles to choose from? Instead of the wide, obviously pirate inspired type belt with only 3 types of buckles?
...and b: Forcing my hand to dress this way or the highway is a big, weird F U. When clearly Old Navy has hit the target with SO MANY other items, and not just for me!
It's only a matter of a quarter of an inch, sure - but it's only that small amount that's keeping me from going to Old Navy for that good product, for that fantastic price ...quite possibly ever again.
